Meet Meggie

Meggie Orgain grew up in Beaumont, Texas, and left to attend college at Southwestern University. There she received a Bachelors degree in English and discovered her love for writing. While many of her professors would have preferred Meggie to try a little harder in her classes, one professor told her: Never stop writing. And she listened.

After college, Meggie was under the impression that writing was not a legitimate career path (and was putting off becoming a real adult) and so she went to the place where creativity goes to die: law school. All jokes aside, Meggie received her JD from Texas Tech University School of Law and set out to practice in the real world. After a few years of practice (and a baby), Meggie left the legal world and took a detour through the retail world before she settled into her dream of writing a novel.

Meggie lives in Dallas, Texas, with her husband, their young child, and an adorable golden doodle named Sky. She recently completed her first Rookie Triathlon (the literal shortest distance you can cover and still call it a "triathlon"). In her free time (ha!), Meggie loves to compete in speed jigsaw puzzle competitions (although she's not very good), try new recipes (so long as she doesn't have to clean-up after), and enjoy a glass of Oregon Pinot Noir (weird flex, but ok).
